Club Championship

The Championship determines the best male and female runners in the club over a series of races each year. More recently the Age & Gender graded championship allows equal competion independent of age and gender.

Races are nominated at the start of the year. In 2012 these are:
  • Wokingham Half Marathon - 19 February 2012.
  • Beachy Head Marathon - 27 October 2012.

Scoring

For the Male and Female championships the first home wearing club colours gets 50 points, the second 49 and so on.

Men and Women score separately.

For the Age & Gender graded championship the points is simply your age /gender graded Performance Level Percentage. One important point to bear in mind is that some distances (e.g. five miles) do not have any age graded information available for them, so these races won't register any points in this championship.

A club members' best 4 scores over the races is used to calculate their championship points - highest points at the end of the year wins. Simple as that.
