Halloween 5 Nite Run

Entries have opened for the 2010 running of this event.  It's a night time run starting at 8PM on Meadowland.  Head lights are supplied and are essential for what last year was a real fun event.  Only 500 entries available at http://www.halloween5niterun.co.uk/# on a first come first served basis.

After last year's race I was snogged by someone who said her name was Tania.  Now I know it wasn't Tania (I'd have recognised her) it really was a witch!!!

Bounders Relay

Hi All

Once again thank you for taking part in this week’s Bounders Relay we hope you all enjoyed the race as much as we enjoyed organising it.

Attached are the results in both PDF and Excel formats.

We had 3 small problems:

Sandhurst Joggers I. Somehow we missed recording a time for runner 1. We therefore guess-timated the runner’s time. If you could provide a better estimate please let me know.

Sandhurst Joggers L. We think the time and place for runner 3 is correct but confirmation would be appreciated.

Finchcoasters B. Did not appear to start the race.

The prize winners were:

First male team Sandhurst Joggers A

First mixed team Sandhurst Joggers B (third overall)

First ladies team Sandhurst Joggers C (tenth overall)

First company/friends team Foster Wheeler A (fourth overall)

The Foster Wheeler Ladies (rightly) commented that maybe a fifth award should be avaiulable for the first Ladies company/freinds team. We'll consider that for next year especially if FW ladies can find some more volunteers Smiling

Beachy Head Marathon - 23rd October 2010

Bounders - Another BFR Success Story.

This year's Bounders relay saw 33 teams take part including several first time participants.

Sandhurst Joggers went away with 3 of the 4 prizes with Foster Wheeler Runners picking up the award for first non-athletic club.

Full results will be published here within a few days.

Thanks to all those who participated and of course to all the marshals and other helpers who made the night possible.

Bounders Relay - Tonight!!!

The 2010 Bounders Relay will be held tonight at our traditional location of Crowthorne Woods behind Broadmoor Hospital.

Start time is 7:00PM.  Teams of 4 either single sex or mixed, each leg is between 2 and 2.5 miles and all legs start and finish at the same location.  Prizes for First Lady team, First Male team, First Mixed Sex team and First Team not from a running club.

Entry fee is £8 per team (BFR members please note the club pays your entry fee providing you are in club kit and running for a BFR team).

New Forest 10

The New Forest 10, which is a club championship race, is tomorrow.  The main race is full but the supporting events should be taking on the day entries.  For those of you taking our bus it will leave at 8:00AM prompt so please be at the Athletics Track car park by 7:50AM.

There will be a BBQ after the race - please bring your own drinks.

Also, need I say, it looks like the weather will be very hot so remember to stay well hydrated throughout the day and use sun blocker if you think it appropriate.

It's a busy Weekend

This Friday is our pub of the month which will be at the New Leathern Bottle in Jealotts Hill meeting from 8:30PM onwards.  To build up your thirst (alcoholic or otherwise) the usual Friday training groups will meet at the Lookout at 6:00PM for an hour's run in the woods with 2 groups of around 8 and 9 minute mile pace.

On Sunday it's the New Forest 10.  The main race is full but the supporting events should be taking on the day entries.  For those of you taking our bus it will leave at 8:00AM prompt so please be at the Athletics Track car park by 7:50AM.
